In 1970, Queen Elizabeth II wrote about the Commonwealth as “…rather a special family, a family of nations…”
Today there are nearly 90 professional and advocacy organisations which bear the Commonwealth’s name that are part of what the Head of the Commonwealth termed a ‘family of nations.’ These organisations work in the 54 member countries, across five continents and three oceans, in order to promote shared goals and values.
These Commonwealth organisations, both large and small, all aspire to meet the challenges of our time and anticipating and adapting to the challenges of the future.
