CFMM 2012
The 2012 meetings of the Commonwealth Finance Ministers and Senior Finance Officials, and stand-alone Ministerial meeting on the looming debt problem in Commonwealth Small Vulnerable Economies (CSVEs) was held in Tokyo on 9 – 10 October 2012 at the Tokyo International Forum.
These meetings took place during a period of continued global economic and financial uncertainty and will address current challenges faced by Commonwealth member countries.
The Commonwealth Finance Ministers Meeting (CFMM) was held on Wednesday 10 October. The plenary agenda focussed on:
- Securing Growth with Jobs and Reducing Inequality;
- Exogenous Shocks – Dealing with the only certainty: Uncertainty; and
- Reform of the Commonwealth Finance Ministers’ Meeting.
The Senior Officials Meeting (SOM) took place on Tuesday 9 October. Its agenda will focussed on partnering with the private sector for sustainable growth and mobilising the Commonwealth voice - the post-2015 Development Framework.
