Extra time for Health Ministers to discuss climate change and health
Climate change --a hot topic
Health ministers from Commonwealth countries are meeting in Geneva this morning on the topic of climate change and public health. Member countries are sharing recent experiences within their own countries – including drought, migration and changing patterns of disease.
It’s clearly one of great concern to delegations and extra time has been given for ministers and officials to question the meeting’s two key speakers Prof Andy Haines, Director of the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and Prof Tony McMichael, Director of the National Centre for Epidemiology and Population Health from the Australian National University, Canberra.
