Commonwealth Secretary-General to Visit Cameroon

Commonwealth Secretary-General Don McKinnon will be paying an official visit to Cameroon from 3 - 5 June 2001, at the invitation of the Government of Cameroon. During his visit, the Secretary-General will hold discussions with the President, Prime Minister and others on preparations for the forthcoming Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting in Brisbane and other matters.
The Secretary-General will also meet with leaders of major political parties and representatives of civil society, and will deliver a lecture on 'The Commonwealth in the 21st Century' at the University of Buea.
