Secretary-General sends Condolences to the Head of the Commonwealth

9 February 2002

Following the death of Princess Margaret, the Commonwealth Secretary-General
Don McKinnon sends his condolences, and today made the following statement:

"People throughout the Commonwealth will be saddened by the passing away of
Princess Margaret. Our thoughts and sympathy go to the Queen, the Queen
Mother, the Princess's children and her family."
