CHOGM Goes On-line

The Commonwealth Secretariat and the Foreign & Commonwealth Office have launched today a Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) website at http://www.chogm97.org/ for the Commonwealth Summit. The CHOGM website will closely follow the meeting which is scheduled to take place in Edinburgh from 24-27 October and will provide useful information, primarily for the media, about CHOGM and related events.The site has useful links to key Government and other Commonwealth-related sites, as well as to Scottish websites. There is also background information about member countries, their Heads of Government and Commonwealth Secretariat activities.
The CHOGM website also has a daily on-line newspage called the CHOGM Bulletin, which will feature broadcast-quality sound clips on Commonwealth activities, photos from the Conference itself and short stories. These can be downloaded and used as the basis for reports about the Conference. In the run-up to the Conference, the Bulletin will be changed weekly, then daily from 23-27 October.
