Commonwealth Secretary-General Receives Honorary Degree from University of London

Chief Emeka Anyaoku, Commonwealth Secretary-General, is among a distinguished and accomplished group of individuals who will today receive honorary degrees from London University. "I am particularly pleased and honoured to receive this. At the time of my studies, the University College of Ibadan, my alma mater, was part of the University of London and the links have always been strong".
Other graduands include Mrs Mary Robinson, former President of Ireland, Lord Annan, Dame Felicity Lott, Lord Butterfield and Sir Frank Kermode. The degrees will be conferred by the Chancellor, The Princess Royal, after a private dinner hosted at Senate House.
