Commonwealth Secretary-General to Visit South Africa for CPU Conference

10 October 1996

Commonwealth Secretary-General Chief Emeka Anyaoku will visit South Africa from 13 to 16 October to give a keynote address on the international responsibilities of the media at the biennial conference of the Commonwealth Press Union in Cape Town. During his brief visit, the Secretary-General is expected to hold talks with Deputy President Thabo Mbeki and other leading political figures in South Africa.
