Kamalesh Sharma visits some projects which have benefited from the technical assistance the Commonwealth gives to St Lucia

  • On the sidelines of the Commonwealth Finance Ministers Meeting in Castries, St Lucia, Secretary-General Kamalesh Sharma on 6 October 2008 took time to visit some projects in the field which have benefited from the technical assistance Commonwealth gives to St Lucia through the Special Advisory Services Division.
  • The Secretary-General visited Exotica Flavours, a small micro business that produces fresh tropical juices and smoothies.
  • The farmer, Mr Philson Joseph (right) recieved Mr Sharma at his home, which also doubles as the processing centre.
  • Mr Joseph (right) showed the Secretary-General the range of products he makes, inviting him to taste and see.
  • Uumm! good flavour, good flavour...nice aroma, Commonwealth Secretary-General tries a sample of the juice.
  • And it was time to sign the visitors' book
  • Earlier, the Secretary-General had visited a young entreprenuer who is running a furniture firm whom he praised for being innovative as job maker, and not a job seeker.
