Commonwealth releases progress report on mandates given by leaders last year

The Commonwealth Secretariat today released an update on the progress in the implementation of mandates given by leaders at the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago, last year.

The update shows progress in the work of the Eminent Persons Group, mandated to present options for reform that strengthen the networks, sharpen the impact and raise the profile of the Commonwealth. Other areas include the Secretariat’s work on climate change, and the review of procedures of the Commonwealth Ministerial Action Group (CMAG).
