The four candidates from the Pacific region who are standing for chair and vice-chair of the Pan-Commonwealth Youth Caucus have taken their campaign to YouTube.
Tamara File,Tom Junior Misikea, Rebecca Solomon and Noelyn Wagapu hope to reach as many young people as possible involved in the Commonwealth Youth Caucus before the election on 14 December.
During that week, around 50 youth representatives from all over the Commonwealth will meet in Chandigarh, India to select their new leaders.
Both leadership positions are currently vacant. The newly-elected chair and vice-chair will serve for two years.
Afu Billy, Regional Director of the Commonwealth Youth Programme's South Pacific Centre, explained: “The appointments rotate regionally and it is the turn of the Pacific Islands to take the helm. We have four outstanding candidates from Cook Islands, Niue, Solomon Islands and Vanuatu – all of whom are dedicated to youth work in their communities. I wish them the very best of luck.”
