Commonwealth Secretary-General Kamalesh Sharma has written to the Prime Minister of Samoa, Tuila’epa Aiono Sa’ilele Malielegaoi, to express his great concern at the devastation caused by today’s severe earthquake and tsunami, with ensuing loss of life, injury and damage.
“Our thoughts are very much with the people of Samoa at this difficult time, and especially with the communities and families that are suffering bereavement and other loss,” he wrote.
