Cyprus President Christofias visits Marlborough House

The President of the Republic of Cyprus, Demetris Christofias, met with Commonwealth Secretary–General Kamalesh Sharma on 5 June 2008 at Marlborough House.
The Secretary-General updated President Christofias on the status of the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) mandates, including the meeting of Heads of Government on Reforming International Institutions being held in London on June 9-10 2008.
President Christofias congratulated the Secretary-General on his assumption of office and briefed him on the latest developments on the Cyprus Issue. The Secretary–General reiterated the Commonwealth’s continued support for achieving a just and lasting solution to the Cyprus problem.
