Commonwealth Observer Group leader calls for calm in Kenya

The Chairperson of the Commonwealth Observer Group for Kenya elections, Dr Ahmad Tejan Kabbah, has called on all Kenyans to maintain peace in the country following reported incidents of violence.

Dr Kabbah, who is also the former President of Sierra Leone, made the appeal in a statement on 31 December 2007 after meeting senior leaders in the country.
