An annual guide to the Commonwealth, its member countries, organisations and activities
The Commonwealth Yearbook is an essential annual guide to the Commonwealth, its 53 member countries and the many organisations that work to promote international co-operation between the governments, professions and cultures of some 2 billion people.
Articles in this book cover the evolution, role and operations of the association and its organisations; the full texts of essential communiqués and declarations; a review of principal programmes and initiatives; comprehensive profiles of member states and dependencies; and a directory of nearly 100 Commonwealth organisations.
The ‘Member Countries’ and ‘Reference’ sections have full information and statistics, all updated annually.
These profiles have been researched and compiled by information provided by governments and Commonwealth organisations.
The text draws on online and print sources, notably those of the BBC, Economist Intelligence Unit, International Telecommunication Union, Rulers (rulers.org), United Nations agencies, Wikipedia, World Bank, World Gazetteer, and a rapidly growing range of other internet sources (principally government, press, broadcasting and international agency sites).
The Commonwealth Yearbook is published for the Commonwealth Secretariat by Nexus Strategic Partnerships.
