Commonwealth Secretary-General Meets Ugandan President

Commonwealth Secretary-General Don McKinnon met the President of Uganda Yoweri Museveni in the capital Kampala on 27 June 2006.

They held discussions on a wide range of issues, including preparations for the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting to be held in Kampala in November next year.

During his two-day visit to the East African country, Mr. McKinnon also met the Official Opposition Leader in the Parliament of Uganda, Professor Morris Ogenga Latigo.

The Secretary-General also met the Speaker of Parliament Edward Ssekandi.
