A new Commonwealth Information Centre in the heart of London was opened on Monday 7 February 2005 by His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales. Located in Quadrant House, Pall Mall, this Information Centre has been established in response to widespread interest in raising the profile of the Commonwealth.

The Centre is a place where journalists, students, researchers and the general public can find up-to-date information about the Commonwealth. Computers provide access to a network of online resources, and publications detailing various aspects of the Commonwealth's work are on display.

His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales also officially launched a new website aimed at teaching young people more about the Commonwealth. The site, which is likely to be accessed by millions of people around the Commonwealth's 53 member countries, is located at http://www.youngcommonwealth.org/.
