Science and technology key to building a sustainable future, says Ransford Smith

Commonwealth Deputy Secretary-General Ransford Smith has said that science, technology, innovation and design will need to be employed together to ensure that the world reaches a sustainable future.

Speaking at the opening of the Financial Times summit on 'Investing in Innovative Designs and Technology' at Marlborough House, the headquarters of Commonwealth Secretariat, on 16 October 2010, Mr Smith said the association strongly believes in the role of science and technology to address the challenges facing millions of citizens.
