Commonwealth Finance Ministers call for efforts to combat climate change

Commonwealth Finance Ministers concluded their annual meeting on 17 October 2007 in Georgetown, Guyana with a call for concerted efforts to ensure that the challenges of sustainable development and climate change are intergrated into all levels of planning and decision making.

The Ministers also recognised the critical role for finance and planning ministries in addressing the challenge of climate change.
