Commonwealth Seceretary-General meets Vanuatu’s President Kalkot Mataskelekele and Prime Minister Ham Lini.
Maximising Vanuatu's membership of the Commonwealth, including enhancing the country's benefits from development programmes, was among the issues discussed between Commonwealth Secretary-General Don McKinnon and Vanuatu's President Kalkot Mataskelekele, Prime Minister Ham Lini and other ministers in the country's capital Port Vila on 1 November 2006.
Mr McKinnon, who was on a two-day visit to Vanuatu, left for London on 1 November, concluding a two-week tour of Commonwealth Pacific countries, which included high-level discussions in Fiji Islands and Solomon Islands.
