Commonwealth to partner Reuters Foundation in Writing Business News course

The Reuters Foundation has invited the Commonwealth Secretariat to nominate two journalists to attend its flagship Writing Business News course in London from 3 to 14 November 2008.

This is an intensive programme and participants will be expected to contribute actively throughout and attend each day. The programme combines practical teaching and visits to a number of financial institutions.

“We are delighted to be on board. This opens a new avenue in terms of our media development initiatives,” said Manoah Esipisu, Deputy Director for Communications and Public Affairs at the Secretariat.

The Secretariat will offer the two slots on a competitive basis to candidates from Commonwealth countries in Asia/Pacific and Africa.
