Design a logo for the 2008 Youth Ministers Meeting

A drawing competition will be held to select suitable logo and two commemorative stamps for the 7^th Commonwealth Youth Ministers Meeting

01. The Seventh Commonwealth Youth Ministers Meeting (CYMM) is scheduled to be held in Colombo, Sri Lanka from 27^th to 30^th April 2008. A competition will be held to select suitable drawings for the logo and the two commemorative stamps for this meeting held under the theme of "Youth and Peace-Building". The conditions pertaining to this competition are given below:

02. The Logo and Commemorative Stamps should depict the following;

(i) Sri Lankan Culture;

(ii) The Commonwealth;

(iii) "Youth and Peace-Building" and

(iv) Should also include the words "CYMM 2008 – Colombo"

03. (i) Competitors should be between 15 years and 29 years of age on 01.04.2008 and should be Sri Lankan citizens or citizens of Commonwealth member countries. A certified copy of an acceptable document showing proof of age should be submitted along with the drawings.

(ii) Only drawings drawn on 14" x 18" size paper using water colours or oil paint should be submitted.

(iii) Competitors may submit any number of drawings (separately for the Theme Logo and Commemorative Stamps).

(iv) Name, Address, Country, Telephone number and e-mail address (if available) should be indicated on the reverse of the drawing. It should also be clearly indicated whether the drawing is for the Logo or for Commemorative Stamps.

(v) Gold, Silver and Bronze medals and certificates will be awarded to the first, second and third places of selected drawings in each category. (The theme logo and the commemorative stamps).

(vi) Selected drawings will be considered for use as the theme logo and the two commemorative stamps for the CYMM 2008.

(vii) Drawings for the competition should be submitted to the Secretary, Ministry of Youth Affairs, 420, Bauddhaloka Mawatha, Colombo 07 , Sri Lanka, to reach on or before 29.02.2008.

04. The decision of the Panel of Judges will be final.
