Commonwealth Partnership Platform Portal (P3) Africa consultative meetings

The Commonwealth Secretary-General has asked for the development of a Partnership Platform Portal (P3) to assist in collaboration efforts by development partners across the Commonwealth. The P3 is a high priority project whose goal is to provide members of the Commonwealth community with an internet-based tool to share information and foster innovative partnerships for the advancement of Commonwealth goals and values.

A team from the London office is therefore undertaking a tour of selected countries to hold consultations with stakeholders including government officials, academics and students, and business stakeholders, development partners and youth. The team is expected in Zambia to hold discussions on 1st October 2009 at the Commonwealth Youth Programme Regional Centre for Africa (CYP RCA) Offices. The aim of the consultations is to obtain functional requirements and ensure that stakeholder needs are incorporated into the design of the portal. Results from the current consultations will be presented to the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) in Trinidad and Tobago in November 2009.
