Zain Zambia, a leading telecommunications mobile provider in the country and the Commonwealth Youth Programme Regional Centre for Africa (CYP RCA) have partnered with Students Partnership Worldwide (SPW) in the Dance4life program. This is an exciting global initiative that involves young people as leaders in pushing back HIV and AIDS through music and dance, to inspire them to take action and be the change they want to see.

The Zain partnership with SPW that will support communication and promotional materials for the event is part of its Corporate Social Responsibility of supporting the growth of Education, music, Arts and culture in the country; this is an integral part of business and will remain a key component.

The Dance4Life initiative has presented Zain and CYP with an opportunity to connect to a significant number of youths worldwide in encouraging them to take an active role in making a difference in the area of HIV/AIDS in their individual lives and respective communities through raising awareness about HIV?AIDS and the impact of stigma and discrimination. As partners in this event, our commitment to empowering young people through sensitization, education as well as sponsorship of arts and culture further makes Dance4Life an ideal program to support, as it aspires to educate young people about HIV and AIDS through music and dance,’ Zain’s marketing department commented.

As Organizations that embrace young people, we take pride and attach great importance in youth- empowerment as they are an essential resource for sustainable development and in the fight against the HIV/AIDS pandemic. We will remain active in protecting, promoting and empowering the Zambian youths through such initiatives as Dance4life.

Dance4Life is slatted for the 29th of November 2008, and aims at unifying young people, in Zambia and across the world, through music and dance.
