...on the Occasion of the Pre-launch of the WORLD BANK, World Youth Development Report 2007, World Youth Development Report 2007, at the Commonwealth Secretariat, London, England on September, 11th. 2006
Good Morning Excellencies, Deputy Secretary-General of the Commonwealth Secretariat, Members of the Commonwealth Youth Programme, Members of the World Bank team, Members of the media, other youth development agencies, distinguished ladies and gentlemen.
The late Benjamin Disraeli, a former British politician in the 1800s stated that "We live in an age when to be young and to be indifferent can be no longer synonymous. We must prepare for the coming hour. The claims of the Future are represented by suffering millions; and the Youth of a Nation are the trustees of Posterity."
It is astounding that his words spoken over a century ago is just as true and relevant as it is today.
