MARLBOROUGH HOUSE HISTORY
Today, Marlborough House is home to the Commonwealth Secretariat and the Commonwealth Foundation, and has been the venue for a number of independence negotiations and many Commonwealth conferences, including summit meetings of Commonwealth Heads of Government. The house was extensively renovated by the British Government between 1989 and 1993. Read more about the History of Marlborough House.

Members of the public can tour Marlborough House by prior arrangement. Tours usually take place every Tuesday morning subject to the availability of the rooms and the guide.The tours are normally two hours long and take in all the fine rooms, the history of the building and the gardens and the Work of The Commonwealth Secretariat. Groups should be a minimum of 10 and maximum 25.
