Elections in Zanzibar , 30 October 2005

A Commonwealth Observer Group was present for the elections which were held in Zanzibar , United Republic of Tanzania, on 30 October 2005 : these were for the President of Zanzibar, the Zanzibar House of Representatives and local councils in Zanzibar . This report presents their observations, conclusions and recommendations.

The Group consisted of eleven observers:

The Group was supported by a team of eight officials from the Commonwealth Secretariat.
