2006 Solomon Islands Election - Final Report

This is the Report of the Commonwealth Observer Group which was present for the General Election in Solomon Islands, held on 5 April 2006.

The Group’s report is reproduced here in the form in which it was signed by the Observers prior to their departure from Honiara on 14 April 2006.

It was immediately transmitted to the Commonwealth Secretary-General. During the following two weeks he sent it to the Prime Minister of Solomon Islands, the Chairman of the Electoral Commission, the Secretaries-General of the main political parties, and Commonwealth governments. It was placed on this website and released to the media on Monday, 8 May 2006. Printed copies are available from:
