2004 Malawi Elections - Final Report

Explanatory Note

This is the Report of the Commonwealth Observer Group which was present for Malawi's Parliamentary and Presidential Elections in May 2004.

The Report was signed by the Observers in Blantyre prior to their departure on 25 May. It was subsequently transmitted to the Commonwealth Secretary-General, who in turn sent it to the President of Malawi, the Chairman of the Malawi Electoral Commission, the leaders of the main political parties and Commonwealth governments. It was placed on this web-site and released to the media on Friday 11 June 2004.
