Respect and Understanding: Moving The Mandate Forward

This report is a summary of the deliberations and outcomes of the Africa Regional consultative meeting held by the Commonwealth Youth Programme (CYP) from the 11th to 13th of June 2008 in Johannesburg, Republic of South Africa. The meeting brought together participants from Civil Society Organisations (CSOs), Governments and youth focal points and young people. Participants were drawn from ten (10) member countries (Cameroon, Kenya, Lesotho, Mozambique, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, and the United Kingdom), with additional representatives from other CSOs and international organisations as well as staff of the Commonwealth Secretariat.
