The Commonwealth is a voluntary association of 54 countries that support each other and work together towards shared goals in democracy and development.
Some of the world’s largest and smallest, richest and poorest countries make up the Commonwealth.The association is home to 2 billion citizens with a rich diversity of faiths and ethnicities – where over half are 25 years of age or less, and a quarter are under 5 years.Member countries span continents and oceans fromAfrica to Asia, the Americas, Australasia, the Caribbean and Europe.
