Commonwealth Day 2007 Information Pack

Commonwealth Day is an excellent time to celebrate the worldwide ‘friends and family’ group that is the 2 billion strong Commonwealth.This year’s Commonwealth Day is on 12th March 2007 and the theme for the celebrations is “The Commonwealth Respecting Difference, Promoting Understanding”. More is said about this theme in the next section of these Resource Notes.

Each Commonwealth Day gives countries and their peoples the opportunity to express:

• their commitment to Commonwealth ideals, and
• their appreciation of being part of a huge ‘family’ working for the common good.
