The Annual Performance Report (APR) is one output of the Secretariat’s governance process. It summarises performance across the portfolio to support decisions on resource allocation as well as meeting public accountability requirements. As 2007 was a CHOGM year the Secretary-General’s report to CHOGM1 provided a comprehensive overview of the Secretariat’s achievements for the years 2006 and 2007. The APR for 2006/07 will therefore focus specifically on progress made in addressing the Strategic Plan objectives in each of the fifteen Programmes, and give a broad-brush picture of reforms and other actions taken during the year under Programme 16 to enhance the organisational efficiency and operational effectiveness of the Secretariat.
