Development of a Strategic Framework for the Commonwealth Secretariat to Support the Tourism Sector

The Commonwealth Secretariat has been involved in supporting tourism in member countries for over two decades. Through technical assistance provided by the Commonwealth Fund for Technical Co-operation (CFTC), the Secretariat has supported projects among member countries and regional organisations in the Caribbean, Southern Africa and Oceania. In this context, a study was deemed necessary to review previous and existing interventions in the tourism sector and to advance a strategic framework for future interventions by the Commonwealth Secretariat in the sector.
