2009 Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting communiqué

Commonwealth Heads of Government met in Trinidad and Tobago from 27 to 29 November 2009. Of the 49 countries that attended the Meeting, 34 were represented by their Heads of State or Government.

The Opening Ceremony of the Meeting included an address by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, Head of the Commonwealth. 

Heads of Government conveyed their sincere appreciation to the Government and people of Trinidad and Tobago for the warm hospitality extended to them and the excellent arrangements made for the Meeting. They also congratulated Prime Minister Manning for his able stewardship of the Meeting.
