Small States Digest - Issue 1, April 2010

Welcome to the first issue of the Small States Digest, a periodic information sharing newsletter from the Commonwealth Secretariat, focusing on the interests of small states.

The Small States Digest forms part of the Secretariat’s ongoing advocacy efforts on behalf of small states. It provides an important contribution to understanding contemporary issues and challenges faced by small states due to their inherent vulnerabilities, by offering periodic updates on a variety of development issues in small states, to all concerned stakeholders in small states research, policy and overall growth and development.

The Digest provides both thematic and country specific information which will help policy makers formulate and implement appropriate policies that will help small states both cope with their inherent vulnerabilities and build their resilience.
