The meeting explored the challenges and opportunities of e-health technology in the Commonwealth, focussing on a range of e-health applications, the ethical, legal and infrastructural challenges faced when introducing e-health, and the financial and intellectual property issues that must be considered prior to the introduction of new information technologies.
The meeting was attended by the Commonwealth’s 53 Ministers of Health, senior health officials and global and regional health partners and Archbishop Desmond Tutu who delivered the keynote address.
