Seventh Meeting of Commonwealth Youth Ministers

7CYMM, Colombo, Sri Lanka, 27 – 30 April 2008

The Seventh Meeting of Commonwealth Youth Ministers convened in Colombo, Sri Lanka from 27 – 30 April, 2008. The Meeting was preceded by meetings of the Pan-Commonwealth Regional Advisory Board and the Pan-Commonwealth Youth Caucus on 24 April. A skills building workshop focusing on the gender and youth dimension to peace-building took place from 25 – 26 April; and a stakeholders’ meeting on youth mainstreaming was held on 27 April.

These Meetings comprised senior government officials and youth representatives of the Commonwealth. The theme of the 7 CYMM was “Youth and Peace-Building”.
