Sixth Commonwealth Sports Ministers Meeting (6CSMM)

The Sixth Commonwealth Sports Ministers Meeting (6CSMM) has been scheduled to take place in London on 25 July, 2012. The Government of UK has kindly agreed to host this meeting.

Commonwealth Sports Ministers Meeting is held every two years on the margins of the Commonwealth Games and the Summer Olympic & Paralympic Games. The last such meeting (5CSMM) was held in Delhi on 4th October 2010, a day after the Opening Ceremony of the IXX  Commonwealth Games. Earlier meetings were held in Manchester (2002), Athens (2004), Melbourne (2006) and Beijing (2008).

These meetings provide an excellent opportunity to deliberate on sport related issues relevant to Commonwealth countries and carry forward the discussion on key areas of cooperation between countries.
