Customary Arbitration and the Plea of Estoppel under Nigerian Law

This article examines the process of customary arbitration, which is recognised under Nigerian law as a valid dispute resolution mechanism. It attempts to answer the question whether an award by a customary arbitral panel can give rise to the plea of estoppel per rem judicatam.
