India - International relations
India is one of the founding members of the United Nations (UN), and a member of several international organisations, including the World Trade Organization (WTO). It has participated in several UN peacekeeping missions and is among the largest troop contributors to the UN.
India is also a member of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM); the Indian Ocean Rim Association for Regional Cooperation (IOR-ARC); and the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC).
