Mozambique - International relations

Mozambique is a member of the United Nations (UN), the International Monetary Fund (IMF), the African Union (AU), the Southern African Development Community (SADC), and the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA). In 1996, Mozambique became a founding member of the Community of Portuguese Language Countries, and has maintained close ties with other Portuguese-speaking states. It is also a member of the World Trade Organization (WTO); the African, Caribbean and Pacific Group of States (ACP); the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM); and the Indian Ocean Rim Association for Regional Cooperation (IOR-ARC).
