Bangladesh - International relations

Bangladesh is a member of the seven-strong South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation, the United Nations, and the Organisation of the Islamic Conference. The country contributes to international peacekeeping operations and currently has 6,000 troops deployed in UN missions.

Bangladesh is also a member of the World Trade Organization, the Non-Aligned Movement, and the Indian Ocean Rim Association for Regional Cooperation.
