Mnazi Bay Gas-to-Power Project Negotiations – Tanzania

The Special Advisory Services Division is providing advice and technical assistance to the Government of Tanzania in relation to a proposed gas-to-power project at Mnazi Bay in the Southern Coastal area of Tanzania. The Government set up an inter-Ministerial negotiating team and sought SASD economic, legal and technical inputs into the negotiation of a range of project-related agreements. The negotiations commenced in mid 2005. 

SASD has mobilised an advisory team that would be able to provide expert advice and assist in negotiations in relation to a full range of legal, economic, financial and technical matters which will need to be addressed in the project agreements.  This project will also require the engagement of consultants skilled in investment negotiations and experts in gas-to-power project design and implementation to advise the Government negotiating team.
