Mineral Development Policy and Investment Promotion, Botswana

SASD is currently providing advice to the Ministry of Mineral, Energy and Water Resources on:
- the content and preparation of an official statement of the minerals development policy of the Government of Botswana that would be published and used in the promotion of minerals investment;

- design of a programme of activities to be conducted by the Ministry in order to promote mineral investment opportunities in Botswana to the industry;

- a number of issues of a policy, economic and legal character that have arisen in the context of implementing the new minerals development policy since passage of the Mines and Minerals Act in 1999.
