Commonwealth Electoral Network

Election Management Bodies (EMBs) are a key democratic institution. They play a vital role in determining the credibility and legitimacy of elections in the eyes of the citizens, and also the integrity of the political process as a whole.

The Commonwealth Electoral Network brings our members together to discuss and promote best practice, share experiences, and create support mechanisms.

The Network supports Commonwealth EMBs in meeting the challenges before them. It aims to strengthen electoral and democratic processes in member countries, decrease the instances of election-related conflict, and enhance the legitimacy of elected governments.

Our objective is to advance the highest electoral standards by creating opportunities for peer and expert assistance, and encouraging the sharing of Commonwealth experiences.
