Training and Learning Materials

Training/Compliance Outreaches

In April 2011, The Financial Services Commission of Gibraltar assisted with the training of Directors of Insurance regulatory authorities in East Africa and will again partner with Kenya on a similar initiative in late August.

Development of Manuals/Training

The Secretariat has partnered with the Malta International Training Centre (MITC), a unit of the Malta Financial Services Authority, to develop a Manual on Insurance Supervision. The Manual is intended to be used as a guide to developing an effective supervisory framework. The Secretariat is also working with MITC on the development of an integrated Training Programme for insurance examiners. The training involves case studies, interviews, statistical reviews and the writing of onsite reports.
