Catherine Hume

Catherine Hume is responsible for managing and providing efficient Library, Archival and Records Management services for the Commonwealth Secretariat. She provides leadership and strategic direction for the Library Team, overseeing annual planning, personnel and financial management. She is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals and has over 25 years experience in special, public, academic and school libraries in both the public and private sector. She has dealt with subjects as diverse as science, engineering, architecture and international affairs. She has worked as both a practitioner and at policy level in the UK and Europe.

Hilary McEwan

Hilary McEwan is responsible for the Archives and the Record Management of the Commonwealth Secretariat. She undertakes the annual appraisal of records for release into the public domain, in accordance with the Secretariats policy on Shared Records. Hilary is also responsible for the promotion and the preservation of the Archives and handles enquiries concerning the collection and the history of the Secretariat.

She is currently working on the implementation of an organization wide Records Management Programme.

Theodora Addo

Theodora Addo is responsible for the operation of the Library’s databases and for training staff in other divisions who use them for recording archival files. She maintains the Library’s collection of the Secretariat’s publications and also processes the Library’s payments.
