Collections

What’s in the library -Books, periodicals and grey literature are from an array of sources including governments, international organisations, conference reports, discussion papers and working papers acquired through publishers and donations all within Commonwealth countries.

More than 18,000 separate items are held in the library, mostly from materials published within the past ten years. The library is also the official repository for the Secretariat's own publications. There are over 15,000 books, approximately 450 periodical titles and an extensive range of “grey” difficult to obtain material. All material covers the Commonwealth and its related subjects including:

The library holds approximately 3,000 Commonwealth Secretariat and related Commonwealth publications. All items in the library are for reference only for members of the public. See 'Visiting Us' for a map and details on how to get to Marlborough House.
