Journals & Books

The library holds about 15,000 books and pamphlets and approximately 450 periodical titles on subjects relevant to the Commonwealth and individual Commonwealth countries

The Journal Collection consists of approximately 450 titles, supporting the research interests of the Secretariat staff. The collection covers a broad range from weekly geographic based publications and including titles such as: "Roundtable: Commonwealth Journal of International Affairs".

The holding period for journals varies according to title, with most being held up to five years.
New journals are circulated to Secretariat staff, then deposited in the Reading Room.

Visitors are welcome to consult journals in the Reading Room by prior appointment, and copy according to copyright licensing law.
